CHAPTER XXIX:  ERRORS IN JUDGEMENT

Nervously, Supreme Commander Max-Titor paced the bridge of Black Dawn as the MD-13 attempted to ascertain the current military situation down on Elysia. Intercepted transmissions had been cut-off ever since the Gretches had destroyed all Whill hypercom relay stations and probe com carriers between Jeranu, Garvin Heights, and the Jez’aral Valley. No transmissions had been made by the Raven pilots nor from Warlord Max-Stalker since the invasion began hours ago.

Onboard Night Strike Max-Lyar was still repairing damage to the ship’s hull plating. The fires had been extinguished and most systems were online or re-routed… yet Night Strike was not prepared for further battle. Her Rekurium reactor was highly vulnerable with the shield generators down.

Titor’s Black Dawn was keeping the last Ring Ship running but now that RS Victorya was making a complete turn around back towards Elysia Titor suspected that possibly something had gone wrong back on Elysia. He HAD to find out what.

The MD-13 suggested launching M.A.S.P. s (Military Atmospheric Spy Probes) as soon as possible to do a complete aerial sweep of Jeranu, Garvin Heights, and the Valley to determine if their war objectives had been met. Time was running out, Lord Rexor expecting a military update or complete victory by nightfall. Titor had been expecting an update from Warlord Stalker for the last hour but no transmissions had been made. Only worthless rumors had been intercepted from hypercom relays in the outlying areas of Elysia, too far away to confirm or deny. Inner Rim intercepted global chatter revealed nothing. The M.A.S.P.s HAD to be launched NOW!

But in order to launch the M.A.S.P.s and receive their short-range coded responses Black Dawn would have to turn around as well and return directly over the planet instead of engaging the Ring Ship. It was a difficult decision with Night Strike out of action, but Max-Titor gave the order to turn the ship about and proceed at maximum velocity back to Elysia.

This was the beginning of a series of bad judgments on the part of the Sith. Usually a Sith Seer accompanied each Supreme Commander into combat but the Sith had chosen not to rely on their powers anymore. They would accomplish their goal by force alone. The outcome had already been decided by the Dark Master himself. This lack of vision would cost the Sith dearly.

Back on RS Victorya Captain Vimy greeted his two arriving visitors with warm greetings, “I am pleased that you both could make it. How was that possible without being picked-up by the Sith destroyers?”

Ligris and Kailen paused for a moment before Ligris answered for them, “After returning to my home world of Ira-dan I contacted Inter-Stellar Recovery Systems and ordered their latest starship the ISTR-1500 Invader with all my usual “custom” accessories. They told me it would take some time to modify the ship, but I converted my Yaros over to Rim Credits and put in a special request for rapid delivery. The starship arrived on auto-pilot seven months later. When war broke out over Elysia, Kailen and I had wanted to join the fight but her Falcon would be no match for the Sith Fleet, so I proposed using the new ISTR to mask our approach in hopes of helping the Queen.”

Kailen then interrupted, “But once we got within Elysia’s range a furious space battle was taking place and we would have been within visual range if we had attempted a landing, so we set down on Jamanka in the Inner Rim and tried to get information from there. Fragmentary information from loitering short-range Inner Rim probe com carriers indicated that Sith ground forces had landed in the Jez’aral Valley in great strength with Jeranu under severe attack and Garvin Heights completely destroyed. Later, when we heard that Jeranu had almost collapsed, we feared the worst. That’s when we picked up your coded military distress call via military com carrier and came immediately. The Invader has a high powered Crytium engine and powerful scan blockers. We cruised past the crippled Sith destroyer above Elysia undetected and then past the one that is shadowing you.”

After fleeing from the space above Elysia RS Victorya had planned to re-engage when an opportunity presented itself. With the landings of the Sith ground forces, however, Captain Vimy had weighed his options- either turn around and confront Black Dawn directly or attempt to by-pass her and somehow try to engage the Sith ground forces. At first he contemplated sending his ship on a suicide mission but ruled this out as too great a sacrifice without warning the crew. He then ordered his military com carriers to send out coded distress signals once they were launched out to the Inner Rim worlds. To cover their launch and escape RS Victorya had activated its Magnaflectors and engaged its wave benders so that Black Dawn would be blinded and unable to scan them. It worked. (Hours ago when the last Ring Ship did this Black Dawn suspected that the ship was going to try to engage them but was surprised when all systems returned back to normal- perhaps they were testing out their defenses?). Another Sith false assumption.

Ligris inquired, “so what’s your plan Captain?” as he held Kailen tight. “Let me show you”, responded Captain Vimy as all three of them walked through the immaculate inner white paneled corridors of the Ring Ship up towards the Captain’s  private War Room. There, projected onto a rolling holomorphic map display were the positions of both Sith destroyers. One was directly above Elysia while the other one was now headed for Elysia.

Captain Vimy told them the following, “ As you can see, the Sith destroyer has turned about and is now heading back towards Elysia. I estimated that the ship’s Supreme Commander doesn’t have the necessary firepower to totally destroy this ship so he must be willing to sacrifice his secondary destroyer in a 2-to-1 engagement. My plan is to get as close to Elysia as possible and then divert the ship away from the destroyers while the crew escapes. We only have enough working life pods for 350 men. We desperately need several hundred more transports to rescue our crew as the ship is put on auto-pilot and turned down on a direct course for impact in the Valley, destroying the Sith forces there. We must also contact whatever Gold Army forces are at the gap and tell them to ditch their equipment and flee to safety in the nearby hills. The coded com carrier distress signal has alerted the Inner Rim worlds to stand-by for evacuation assistance. I am surprised that you risked your lives to come here in person.”

Back in the War Room, under the former Palace of Light, the Queen and Imperator Bevins had tried for the last hour to restore all communication and scanning consoles so that the Tactical Holomorphic Display Grid would function properly. All non-essential personnel were then ordered to attempt to restore the collapsed stairwell to the lower secured chambers, many obstructed by rubble.

The utmost rear chamber on the lowest level housed the hardened generators and a few load lifters. A solitary load lifter had been clearing rubble for one hour and as each secured chamber was cleared the personnel inside them were ordered by the Amber Commandos to help restore back-up systems and assist clearing the remaining rubble.

The collapsed stairwell had dropped into a large sink hole and tons of rubble were being filled into it in an attempt to create a path back up to the War Room. Several engineers also rigged lift lines and recovered essential system operators and R2-A2 droids that were busy repairing the damaged sensor units torn from the walls. Communications with the outside world, however, was quite impossible for now. The war situation seemed bleak. The Queen and Imperator Bevins had no idea what had happened after the Palace had been hit. But suddenly the Room grew quiet after the sound of digging was heard above the buckled blast doors. “My God, there were people still alive in the capital… perhaps Elysia had not been defeated after all.”

Above the burning pit that once was the Palace of Light, Red Army troops by the thousands were digging down into the rubble in an attempt to rescue the Queen. Field Commander Decklar’s troops had reached the Palace remains first and began scanning with Ground Wave Detectors. They confirmed that there was movement going on several hundred feet below them, so the Queen must have survived. Giant load lifters and Hoist Cranes were moving tons of rubble as the Red Army troops manually dug in a concentrated area. By now, the bulk of the Queen’s Red Army under Field Commander Wilbourne was back inside the capital amidst the shattered city, clearing rubble, restoring power, and helping the wounded and dying. All other heavy equipment was being moved towards Garvin Heights in a last ditch effort to defeat the Sith “if’ or “when’ they broke through the gap.

All of this activity was taken in by the roaming M.A.S.P.s that once released from their fiery ball atmospheric entry shields quickly started conducting a massive aerial sweep of all Sith tactical and strategic objectives on Elysia. The noisy, fluttering  Vibra-Wing craft buzzed through each target area with great speed as their bulbous bodies loaded with imaging devices and probe scanners sorted through thousands of intercepted probe com carrier transmissions while deciphering coded light transmissions and image-locking destroyed targets. All information was burst transmitted from M.A.S.P. to M.A.S.P. in case any of them were destroyed. But none of the Whills had detected the intruder craft and kept up the rescue and recovery efforts.

Meanwhile, at the gap, the Sith Black Army paused as Warlord Stalker surveyed the battlefield ahead from the protection of his armored Tartus. As he scanned the gap he could see that the Gold Army had not budged, even as his troops were in direct visual range now. The Gold Army Field Commander was playing the waiting game and would attack at the last moment at almost point blank range. Stalker decided not to play his game and instead ordered his Tactical Rollers to the front of the line. He wanted a quick divide of the Gold Army and then a swift rush through the gap and on to Garvin Heights to prepare for the final assault on Jeranu.

As the TR-8s slowly moved out of the protection of the armored GC-7s and advanced along the flanks towards the frontline, Gold Army Field Commander Maratan could not believe his luck.

Surely the Sith Warlord couldn’t be that stupid. By moving his carriers forward to lead the attack he risked losing them all in a massive strike which would create an armored obstacle at the mouth of the gap, giving Maratan more time to reinforce his position and locking the Sith Army in the Valley. Immediately, Maratan ordered all IMPAK micro-fusion weapons distributed to his forward troops instead of with his Ball Rovers. They were accumulated and secretly  passed up the lines to the front… out of sight as much as possible.

By now, Kali and Boman had reached Garvin Heights and had settled in at the base of the Gold Mountain to witness the future. Heavy equipment surrounded them but they might not be needed. Kali wasn’t wearing her Halo-chron but she knew in her heart what was about to happen.

Light had always triumphed over darkness in the end and today would be no exception. Although the Whill people had suffered tremendously we are still the Founders of Light and the chroniclers of the eternal battle of good vs. evil in the galaxy. Today, another victory for light would be recorded in the Holy Journal of Hope.

Aboard RS Victorya Ligris and Kailen agreed to take twenty-five engineers off the ship and land them safely back on Elysia. His ship would not be detected. Ligris also vowed to find a way to alert the forces in the Valley once he had landed and contact the nearest Red or Gold Army Field Commander.

Captain Vimy agreed and wished them luck. Ligris responded with pride, “I’m a Kraal and a bounty hunter, I don’t need luck.” Kailen quickly corrected him, “… um, former bounty hunter.” Ligris looked down at tiny Kailen and smiled. Looking at Captain Vimy one last time he corrected himself, “uh, Mangalore hunter.” Kailen said, “that’s better!” They departed with twenty five engineers crammed into the Invader’s cargo hold and smoothly flew undetected into the Elysian atmosphere which was filled with smoke.

Ligris wanted to set down in the hills surrounding Jeranu but the engineers wouldn’t have it. They were needed in the shattered capital which shocked everyone as they viewed the ruined city littered with rubble and bodies. No one could find the Palace nor even the Crystal Towers. Entire sections of the city were gone, but just then Ligris spotted a Sith star fighter parked next to an Airlyter outside what was left of the Sacred Temple. All agreed to set down there to find out what had happened.

In the Outer Courtyard Lady Divinia Anwar was recovering from her ordeal. She met Ligris and Kailen along with the engineers and told them the devastating details concerning the city and Garvin Heights. The Royal Palace of Light had also been destroyed but it was not known if the Queen had survived or not. This was grievous news, but then Lady Anwar told them about Boman Braggs and how Lady Kaliah had saved the Holy Journal and Holochron from the evil Sith Kyrie. Her smoking molten remains were still splattered on the broken Sacred Steps like black obsidian lava for all surviving Whills to view.

Ligris and Kailen were distraught, but then Ligris came up with a fantastic plan. Looking at the Sith star fighter Ligris knew how to help Captain Vimy and RS Victorya. He also saw the empty Airlyter and inquired from Amber Commander Damar how many were left and how many troops they could hold. After waiting for a response from a tactical probe com carrier, the report came back of two hundred of them with an internal load limit of one hundred unarmed troops with no gear. That was 20,000 troops that could be air lifted to safety. Ligris told Kailen to get the Airlyters to the gap and co-ordinate a rescue with Commander Damar while Ligris aided RS Victorya.

Ligris was about to run to the Sith ship when Kailen hugged him closely and looking into his deep blue Kraal eyes said, “Come back to me, I love you.” No one had ever loved Ligris, not even another Kraal. Kailen had tears in her eyes, but Ligris wiped them away and said, “Ligris always fulfills a contract, I will return to you.”

Ligris then ran to the Sith ship and climbed up its rear ramp onto the wing and entered the somewhat cramped cockpit not designed for a six foot six 300 lb Kraal. He closed the canopy after studying the controls and lifted off. D.A.S. had never installed any identification scanners as Syrenia was confident that no one would dare to steal her Sith star fighter. Another costly error in judgement.

High above the Elysian clouds bursts of photon and pulser fire flashed in the heavens as the D.A.S. Enforcer approached the crippled destroyer Night Strike undergoing repairs.

Syrenia’s ship was spotted by both the bridge crew and the ship’s scanners. Unaware of any danger Max-Lyar wondered why Syrenia would choose to dock here when his ship was under repair; nevertheless, he ordered that a landing bay be made accessible to her and then sent the coordinates to her ship which failed to respond- but then again remembered Lyar, Syrenia only responded to the Dark Master himself. He ignored the ship for now and went back to studying the consoles concerning the hull damage.

Suddenly, without warning, alarms sounded. Max-Lyar thought that there was another fire or perhaps worse, a reactor leak, but one of the Sith officers immediately reported that the Enforcer was not going for the bay but was rising above the outer hull near the reactor core. Lyar ran to the forward view screen to see for himself.

Ligris meanwhile was running the weapons inventory and discovered a load of  twenty-four Black Hammer missiles, 2 M-Packs fully charged, and TWO graviton bombs!!! That was all he needed and as he approached the forward bridge of the Night Strike Ligris hit the braking thrusters right in front of the bridge.

Max-Lyar stood in disbelief at the face of a menacing Kraal. It was Ligris, that infamous bounty hunter from Ira-dan, and he was smiling. Slowly, Ligris turned the ship around and opened both bomb bays of the Enforcer as the Sith on the bridge watched in horror. “Graviton bombs”, somebody said as both were launched and shot downwards towards the weak hull protecting the Rekurium reactor.

“No!!!” screamed Lyar as he frantically tried to raise the core shields. “We can’t Sir, they’re inoperable”, came the response from one of the systems operators. These were the last words Lyar heard as the Enforcer sped forward while the two graviton bombs detonated above the reactor core, splitting the hull and the core in a blinding flash of destructive energy. Night Strike had been effectively vaporized.

Onboard Black Dawn, which was engaging the last Ring Ship RS Victorya with all its operable guns blazing, the destruction of Night Strike was felt by the entire ship. Max-Titor stared at the blank spot on the scanner where his back-up destroyer had been just a few moments earlier. Now there was a radiation field filled with debris, some of which struck the rear of Black Dawn. Onboard RS Victorya all guns fell silent at the flash of Night Strike. Black Dawn’s guns fell silent as well… for the time being.

Before Titor could even speak, word came in from the roaming M.A.S.P.s which interlinked with the MD-13 on the bridge. “Status Report” ordered Titor.

The MD-13 responded that from aerial reconnaissance the capital of Jeranu was still active with nearly 80,000 troops. All 25,000 Sith assault troops had been killed in the city. Although Jeranu was heavily damaged, Jeranu’s rescue teams were all active. Efforts were in progress to save the Queen and clear the streets according to intercepted probe com carrier transmissions. At Garvin Heights the fortress WAS destroyed but heavy Whill Turbo-Repulsers were concentrated there at the base of the Gold Mountain with their guns trained on the gap. In the Valley, Warlord Stalker had 400,000 troops but had not initiated battle yet and was re-deploying his Tactical Rollers up front. All Black Ravens and Gretches had been destroyed. There was a brief pause as the M.A.S.P.s spotted aerial movement… several hundred Military Airlyters were now approaching the Gold Army frontline at the mouth of the gap.

Titor was despondent. Everything had gone wrong. The Red Army was supposed to have been trapped outside the city. The 25,000 assault troops were to have seized the inner city awaiting arrival of the Black Army. Gavin Heights should have been obliterated with no Whill assets there and Warlord Stalker should have initiated his main attack by now. And what of Syrenia and her forces?

Then Max-Titor saw Syrenia’s ship approaching. “At last, the answers to all our questions has arrived”.

But something was peculiar about her approach- she was heading straight for the bridge at speed. Without hesitation Titor ordered the blast doors shut at once, but too late. The nose launch tube of the Enforcer glowed as all twenty four Black Hammer missiles slammed into the bridge view screen. The impacts tore through the shielding and ripped the blast doors apart sucking most of the bridge crew out into space and destroying the ship’s controls. As the bridge collapsed and burned Max-Titor was being burned alive as he held on to a collapsing railing- then he too screamed and was sucked out into space along with hundreds of other Sith as the bridge hull fully collapsed and broke apart. The mighty ship imploded from inside almost permanently blinding the bridge crew on RS Victorya.

Captain Vimy couldn’t believe what had happened or knew how it happened, but now with both Sith destroyers gone, the escape could be made. On open channels Vimy signaled for help from the Inner Rim worlds. After a few minutes a great cluster of starships appeared and began docking alongside RS Victorya, removing her crew to safety. Ships of all sizes and types appeared from Jamanka, Asgapha, Reuni, and Poltava. All were glad that the Whills were fighting for the entire Rim and galaxy.

Onboard the Enforcer Ligris was proud and quickly descended back into the capital near Garvin Heights to reunite with Kailen. As he left the Sith ship he tossed in a few thermal detonators he brought with him… just in case. Without looking back, Ligris smiled. The erupting fireball gave him great pleasure.

Kailen and his ISTR-1500 was all he needed in life from now on.

The roaming M.A.S.P.s, however, spotted Syrenia’s Enforcer landing and witnessed its destruction at the hands of the bounty hunter Ligris. Returning back towards Jeranu the M.A.S.P. lead probe zoomed in on the Temple Complex and could see that it was still intact with thousands of Whills repairing the damage. All fires had been extinguished. Lady Divinia Anwar of the Twelve was spotted among those still alive and audio sensors were listening to the glorified defeat of Syrenia on the Sacred Steps. All of this information was to be transmitted to Black Dawn but now the destroyer had vanished. It was either out of range or destroyed.  The M.A.S.P.s could not make it out of the atmosphere and lacked a suitable power plant to travel back to Tirahnna; however, the probes began to scout for a hypercom relay of any kind…

After most of the crew had been evacuated from RS Victorya, Captain Vimy started dumping the radioactive  Sulurium in the core as he aimed the massive Ring Ship at the Jez’aral Valley and hoped she had enough forward velocity left without the core running the thrusters to enter the atmosphere and hit the target. The ship was then locked into auto-pilot as Captain Vimy and his support crew took off in the last Rim transport.

At last, the Tactical Rollers had formed up at the frontline as Warlord Stalker gave the order to open fire on the Gold Army. But in the distance he could see the sky filled with Airlyters- his Airlyters- landing and evacuating Gold Army troops that were dropping their weapons and running for their lives.

Stalker was overjoyed. The Whills didn’t even have the, pardon the pun, will to fight! At the sight of the TR-8 Tactical Rollers the Gold Army troops were abandoning their weapons and scattering as fast as they could for the hills. All of their vaunted Mechquin riders took off bolting for the hills as well. This would be the easiest victory the Sith ever had in their entire history as a race and yet Stalker had spotted Field Commander Maratan standing by valiantly. What strategic plan was this? Retreat to the hills and then re-group? All of his military assets were left on the battlefield. What was the man thinking?

The Tactical Rollers sped ahead with greater speed now that the Gold Army was in retreat. They were quickly advancing toward the gap when Maratan gave the order to his select forward troops to stand by with the IMPAKs.

Slowly withdrawing backwards out of the gap, Maratan watched the dust clouds of the TR-8s approach with a fury and as they slowed to turn out of the gap Maratan ordered all IMPAKs to fire. Forty-two weapons fired and massive explosions rocked the carriers. Those hit on the side exploded and sent armored debris into the next wave which swerved at speed to avoid them. Many rolled over and a pile up chain reaction occurred.

Maratan ordered the troops to hit them again and another brilliant set of explosions tore through and engulfed the Tactical Rollers. Those that tried to push forward out of the gap were targeted by the big Turbos at Garvin Heights which had never been used against ground targets. They opened up with furious bursts that shredded the armored vehicles like paper. The gap was now blocked by hundreds of Tactical Rollers destroyed and a rampaging firewall. Maratan ordered the rest of his troops to withdrawal immediately and head for the hills with all speed.

Warlord Stalker was shocked, but soon there would be a greater shock for him to witness… not on the ground, but in the sky above.

The Whills in the planetary Sensor Stations were the first to spot it enter the atmosphere and then the Gold Army troops fleeing into the surrounding hills. Kali and Boman were with the gunners at Garvin Heights and saw it too. In fact, they could see it in Jeranu and all over Elysia. Everyone paused to witness a miracle. Kali grabbed Boman’s hand and kissed him as they stared above. On the hills nearby Kailen was with Ligris and they held each other tightly as they witnessed the light of heaven rain down on the unsuspecting Sith.

But Max-Stalker was busy furiously ordering his troops to withdraw. He had to get them out of the Valley, but it was too late. Ten thousand tons of burning Ring Ship was locked onto his position. The fireball was immense and raised the temperature in the Valley twenty degrees.

The Sith troops dropped their weapons and tried to run for their lives, but they were flanked by steep mountains and had nowhere to go as the molten ball of cellular steel fell down upon them with the force of a small asteroid. Warlord Max-Stalker looked up in disgust. He just shut the armored hatch of his Tartus and prepared for death. The flaming hulk of what was left of RS Victorya impacted the Valley and obliterated any trace of the Sith Black Army in a massive impact crater. Ironically it was the Sith that were crushed like bugs, not the Whills.

The Whills rejoiced in triumph along with all the Inner Rim peoples whose starships were descending from the clouds like rain. Not just the rescue transports, but Inner Rim massive transports that brought with them architects, engineers, rescue teams, military auxiliaries, massive load lifters and construction crews, as well as communications relay towers.

The M.A.S.P.s spotted the portable hypercom relay towers being set up and as soon as one of them was in place and operational the M.A.S.P.s swarmed it, by-passing its primary function and interlinking with it to transmit the news back to Hael. Several Jamankan soldiers sighted the strange parasitic machines and fired their “Jump Sliders” (hypervelocity rail guns) at them, blowing them to pieces. But the data had already been transmitted. ALL of it- everything that the M.A.S.P.s had recorded, along with ALL of Black Dawn’s MD-13 records.

Back on Tirahnna, Lord Rexor and eight of the Nine Dark Lords, expected a victory update on the military situation in the Great Room on Hael but were instead met by Lord Rexor’s personal droid K-LOK which approached its Master slowly. The Dark Master was filled with anticipation of hearing all the wonderful news about how the Sith had destroyed the Whills, Jeranu, their Sacred Temple, their Holy Journal, and defeated both their fleet & armies in supreme combat. It was almost nightfall.

But where was Lord Kalore? I ordered ALL my Dark Lords present for this triumphal victory celebration.

Instead K-LOK unemotionally reported the following incoming news: “MY LORD, ALL SITH FORCES ARE DESTROYED. THE QUEEN LIVES AND LADY KALIAH HAS KILLED SYRENIA AT THE SACRED TEMPLE. THEIR HOLY JOURNAL WAS NOT DESTROYED. NEITHER WERE THEIR ARMIES, JUST THEIR SMALL FLEET. ELYSIA HAS SUSTAINED A GREAT LOSS OF LIFE BUT THE WHILLS HAVE BEATEN US IN COMBAT. YOUR ORDERS?”

The Dark Master was filled with a dark rage as he ordered all eight of the Nine Dark Lords out of the Great Room. Furiously he yelled at K-LOK, “ACTIVATE THE SLAYER AT ONCE!!!” But K-LOK replied: NOT POSSIBLE MASTER. THE MD-13 REPORTS A CRITICAL CONSTRUCTION TIMETABLE ERROR. THE SHIP IS NOT YET COMPLETED AND WILL NOT BE READY FOR LAUNCH FOR SIX MORE MONTHS.

“WHAT?“, screamed Lord Rexor. “HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?“, the Dark Master demanded. “WHY, DARK LORD KALORE HIMSELF HAD DIRECTED ITS CONSTRUCTION AND PERSONALLY GUARANTEED THE SLAYER’S COMPLETION BY TODAY.“ K-LOK did not have an answer and quickly re-linked with the MD-13.

After a brief pause K-LOK revealed the following: MASTER, ALL PREVIOUS RECORDS INDICATED THAT THE SLAYER SHOULD BE OPERATIONAL. BUT ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTURE RECORDS DARK LORD KALORE HAS FLED THE EVALEON SHIPYARD THIS DAY AND CANNOT BE LOCATED. HE HAS FALSIFIED THE CONSTRUCTION RECORDS WHICH THE MD-13 HAD JUST CORRECTED ONCE YOU ORDERED THE SLAYER ACTIVATED. DARK LORD KALORE HAS BETRAYED THE SITH PEOPLE.

Outside, in the Dark Hallway, another Dark Seer listened intently and then quickly departed for a starship.

Lord Rexor ordered Kalore’s death immediately. “Send for the Varmin spies to locate him at once! And have the MD-13 plot all probable courses for his heavy cruiser Defiance. K-LOK instantly responded: YES MASTER, IT WILL BE DONE.

But the Dark Lord was safely beyond his Master’s reach. He had not abandoned the Sith Seers as one had told him with great clarity of vision that the Sith would lose this first fight with great loss of life. The Dark Lord was urged to delay construction of the Slayer and flee Tirahnna forever once the war had begun. For that… he would become Dark Master himself. Dark Lord Kalore followed the Seer’s advice for it had come from the lips of Syrenia’s rival, Tirahn.
